Maintenance and Repair Specialist

Southern Lights of Raleigh would like to discuss its Maintenance and Repair Specialist position with you.

The Maintenance and Repair Specialist is a hybrid position that will work directly with members of Senior Management, including the President/Owner, and be vital in helping support the Maintenance and Repair area of the business in multiple ways. We are looking for a highly motivated individual who enjoys performing duties in an office setting while also completing work out in the field. Our ideal candidate is someone that can naturally multitask with the best of them and has a proven track record of accomplishing goals.

Responsibilities

Office Duties

·         Assist in taking incoming calls from customers to schedule need-based work while also looking for opportunities to expand customer services

·         Assist in making proactive outbound calls to customers to schedule reoccurring service dates

·         Manage schedules by maintaining an active calendar

·         Modify schedule on an on-going basis to accommodate new requests and appointments

·         Actively participate in identifying opportunities

·         Communicate scheduling changes to customers

·         Work with President/Owner to prepare estimates and proposals for lighting designs

Onsite Duties

·         Perform maintenance and repairs on low voltage landscape lighting systems

·         Meet with clients onsite to discuss how we can enhance their low voltage lighting system

·         Change bulbs on landscape lighting fixtures

·         Climb ladders and work up to 40 ft on low voltage lighting fixtures

·         Reset GFCI power outlets

·         Reset and program digital timers

·         Troubleshoot

Qualifications

·         Must possess and be able to demonstrate strong organization skills

·         Confident written and verbal communication abilities

·         Take great pride in being extremely detail oriented

·         Ability to work self-directed

·         An eagerness to conceptualize, create and see a plan or project put into action

·         Proven ability to build quick rapport within both a corporate and field environment

·         Familiarity with QuickBooks, Google Calendar, and Microsoft Office would go a long way

·         Background and/or experience in a Construction Trade such as landscape, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, etc. is preferred yet other backgrounds will be considered

This is a full-time position yet can be made a part-time role should the right candidate present themselves.
